She laughed when he told her what he could do. A geeky little guy like that overwhelming her free will with silly mind games? Hysterical.

“Go ahead,” she said. “Show me your crystal. But just be aware that I’m going to be taking that crystal from you by the end of the night. It’s going to be all mine. And you’re going to be thanking me for doing it. Because yes, I’m that good.”

And she smiled.

So she pretended to cooperate. To stare at the swaying crystal. To coo like it was so pretty, so relaxing. Because making him think it was working was going to make it even sweeter when she took that big, valuable crystal away from him. And take it, she would. Because she was that good.

Granted, the crystal was definitely pretty. Very pretty. And she even had to admit it was relaxing in a way. The swaying motion he was using was smooth, gentle, small arches. Arches were relaxing. Very relaxing. And the crystal was so pretty.

She let her eyes stop following the crystal after a while. She was so relaxed. She felt good. Really good. She couldn’t really move though. She was relaxed. All she could do was stare. And then she realized…slowly…languidly…that her mind…that her body…that she…was…
